    I wanted to read about Chris Kyle before the movie American Sniper, as I didn't wasn't it to colour my imagination prior to reading the book. I'll be watching the movie next & then reading Taya's book American Wife to find out how she coped with the loss & legend of her husband. Brilliant

    This murderer has just been exposed all over the media for being a chronic lying head case now so why is this story even being told as we all know that he just murdered women and children for sport! This is a disgusting tale and the USA should be ashamed to promote this lying dead fool

    Very informative, gives a more in depth feeling to the character of Chris Kyle. Although I personally do not share his viewpoint on several matters the immersion felt while reading each experience gives you as close a taste as any civvy will get to being on the frontline. Inspiring.

    Awful awful propaganda trying to justify a war nobody wanted. This man killed over 150 people, called Iraqi's savages and said he wished he "could've killed more of them". I'm at a loss as to why people think this is heroic? And the film is even worse. War isn't one-sided, if YOU barge into people's countries then YOU will be treated as an invader. Goddamn this man didn't have even an ounce if empathy. How dare he have the audacity to be all "boo hoo I shot a child pls pity me and call me heroic". No sympathy for the country him and his own country ravished, no thought for the lives he ruined. People love being sheep and saying "he protected our country", um from what exactly? Didn't realise there were people invading America's borders. He didn't become a sniper because he's a good soldier, to protect or to serve. No, he did it because he was raised as a gun-happy racist Texan, he did it cos he liked it, he likes shooting, he likes killing, and he was smart enough to do it in the only environment where it's deemed legal. Wake up people and stop branding the wrong people as "heroes". You're all so selfish and self absorbed that you don't even realise what unwanted wars that YOU start do to these countries. And you guys don't even know propaganda when you see it.

    I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who wants a brilliant insight to this true hero, Chris Kyle. My condolences to the family and friends of this hero. Gone, but never forgotten!
