  • Too Many Gaps

    In the introduction the author invites readers to pay for the 2nd as (presumably) this provides the background and fills in some of the gaps / continuity dead ends. What I don't get is why the 1st edition is still available?

    It's taken a while to finish it, had a couple of slow moments as the detail got heavier, but otherwise thoroughly enjoyed this... Looking forward to reading the next one!

    The well thought out plot was somewhat spoilt by some instances of poor continuity and errors in technical detail. Nevertheless the story was believable. Given the leap into the future there was little point of reference for the reader and this made understanding of the various factions and "worlds" hard to follow. A more detailed prologue would have been an easy way to help even if the more difficult approach of explanation within the main body was beyond the author. A lack of information to aid understanding of the geography and background to the cosmos in which the story is set was certainly a distraction and reduced my evolvement and therefore enjoyment of the storyline. There are also some poor grammar and other technical reader errors, which most likely can be blamed on the conversion to digital format rather than on the author. Despite all that the book is well priced at just £2 and I may purchase another in the series.

    I am a bit of a science fiction buff but often find books either lacking in substance or trying to be star trek or star wars. And when I saw this 1 in the free column I was sceptical. However that was blown away on the first chapter. This is a great read gripping from beginning to end. The characters are believable but more importantly likeable. It is obvious that this will be a great series of books and there are great things to come... Trust me people download read it... Would be worth it if it cost... This is a no brainer!!!!!!!!
